ARMY TYPE 1 FIGHTER HAYABUSA (Ki-43-1) 1st Hiko Sentai (Vietnam 1942)

Half a year after the start of the war, when the mass production of the Falcon type of Nakajima Aircraft got on track, each fighter corps changed to the new Falcon type. The 1st Fleet, which boasts a tradition as the first fighter corps of the Japanese Army and a brilliant battle history in the Battle of Khalkhin Han, also advanced after the model change to the Falcon type was completed in July 1945. At that time, the commander aircraft of each fighter corps had a very flashy paint scheme to make the commander's aircraft stand out in the air. The favored machine of Major Kinshiro Takeda, the commander of the 1st Fleet at the Hanoi base in Vietnam, is especially colorful and famous. The 1st Fleet advanced to Rabaul in January 2018, fighting battles with dominant Allied aircraft there.

This model kit from Sweet features parts to build two aircraft! They snap together so glue isn't neccesary, yet they're still incredibly detailed, molded based on the latest evidence. Decals by Cartograf are included for nine different versions, including the Takeda squadron commander. The box illustrations by Yukihisa Fujita are incredible, too, and a postcard is also included featuring Sweet's mascot character NASA-chan in either a pink or white ao dai! Order yours today!
